Miele C3 Vacuum Issues

I’ve had the Miele C3 Pet vacuum for about 3 years and it’s starting to have some issues.

1. The bag gets stuck in the part that holds it in the vacuum to the point that pulling it out requires so much force it also yanks out the part that holds it in. It takes many attempts to actually get it out.

2. The bag full sensor always says the bag is full regardless of the settings and the bag is barely full at all.

I’ve changed the filter, checked the hose, and cleaned the hair off of the roller brush. There’s no obstruction but when the roller brush is attached to the hose it barely sucks anything in, regardless of the setting. While troubleshooting I noticed the inside of the vacuum felt very warm after just turning it on for a short while to check the suction issue.

What’s going on here? Figured I’d see if anyone else has had these problems and found solutions before I call the only vacuum repair place near me. I’m really hoping it’s not kaput because it was a wedding gift and I know it was very expensive. Help!
