I want to escape

I keep my empathy for animals to myself mostly, because I’m often taunted for it. I’ve come to the conclusion that the vast majority of people don’t care, and never will care. I truly believe human cruelty to animals will never cease as long as our species is around. A majority of humans will always view animals as nothing more than tools, at best. Our cultures reinforce our vile ways, and people cling to their cultures more closely than they cling to certain morals, and even take pride in their cruelty.

So I don’t care, or have much empathy for most other humans. At this point in my life, all I can hope for is an escape from this insanity. I don’t want to live anywhere near humans, or I don’t want to live at all.
