Are we all just tolerating each other?

About me:
Young-ish woman working a accounting job, conventionally decent looking, no housing/car/bill issues, no hobbies really, no vices, just imagine the most unremarkable boring person possible and you're pretty close. Used to have pretty bad social anxiety (would hype myself up all morning if I needed to call the customer service line lol) but forced myself to do a sales job to get over it, so I'm fine-ish now.
I'm having a hard time keeping up with friends and coworkers. It seems like we are all just tolerating each other until enough time has passed and it's okay to say goodbye. We tell each other boring things, like whose husband washed the car, whose gf got a haircut, whose dog did something cute, and the rest of the group laughs or says "oh no" appropriately and then it's the next person's turn. I was in a minor car accident and the Tesla I was in crumpled like a plastic water bottle while the other party (a tree) wasn't even scratched, I took pictures and showed it to my circle when someone mentioned getting a Tesla. Everyone said "Oh no! Anyway, about that $7500 tax credit..." (This is in middle class California and there are more Teslas than Corollas. That's a lot of water bottles on the road.)
I'm having a hard time with internet friends as well. It's nice when we are in the same things (game, TV show, anime, whatever) so we can shout excitedly at each other but as soon as someone moves on to a new hobby it becomes a seesaw of tolerating someone talking about something I don't really care about so I can later get a turn to do the same. I try my best to sound excited for whatever thing the other person is talking about, it doesn't seem enjoyable to shout excitedly at a piece of wood, but it becomes a chore sometimes. Is there a society of people out there who find it acceptable to tell each other "look man I haven't been into anime since high school can we talk about something else we both care about?"
I'm not interested in relationships, I assume it's the same thing, with 2 people who tolerate each other because they want sex/someone to split the mortgage with, and then a few years later they have kids and now they have obligations too. Seems awful.
Even my dogs barely tolerate me, they greatly prefer my father (who feeds them fresh beef, chicken, or treats for every meal) to me (who feeds them dog food for meals and treats for good behavior, until they were no longer interested in dog food). When we brought the dog home I begged my father to let me at least feed her plain dog food so the treat is rewarding, so I can actually train her instead of spoiling her into a badly-behaved dog. He refused, he whined and argued until I had a mental breakdown, cried for a few hours, and gave in. All my life I've dealt with this, if there is ever a disagreement on what to do/what to eat/what movie to watch/how to spend the day (he will go grocery shopping 10 times out of 10 and make me go along, just sit in the car or follow him around Costco, and call it family time. I work 5 days a week to buy 2 days off and now the 2 days are gone too. I will give in and suck it up because being bored for 3 hours is less painful than being whined at for 3 hours. I think most things default to "tolerable" for me as a result and there's nothing I really enjoy or am willing to fight for. Is it lazy to make no decisions in life? Probably, but I am too brain dead to do anything differently at this point.

Sorry this post got long, I am either emotionally constipated or word vomiting, no in-between and it's very annoying for me too.
