Chances/What to do about my LSAT?
Hi all,
So I got my LSAT score this morning and I'm kinda freaking out, not sure what to do. My last several practice tests fell between 164 and 168, but after I took the real thing I knew it didn't feel great - I was kind of expecting around 162-164ish..... but nope, 159 (my worst score in months.) So now I'm trying to figure out what to do, esp. since my next chance to retake it is in January, when schools have already started admitting, driving my chances down. So now I'm mulling over....
- Do I cancel and retake?
- Do I keep it and retake?
- Do I keep it and just lower my scope on schools I apply to?
- Do I keep it, still apply high, and hope my special circumstances help me out?
For additional context:
- My CGPA is only 3.62 cause of some bad grades from a decade ago, but by most school's formulations (last 2 years, last 60 credits, etc.) I land between a 3.9 and a 3.95
- I consider my ECs to be decent, but not outstanding
- References are a bit unsure
I had planned on applying to UToronto, Osgoode, Queens, UCalgary, UAlberta, UBC, and Windsor for sure, and was looking at UVic, Dalhousie, and Manitoba as "maybe"s.
If anyone has some insight on my chances that might help inform what I should do, it would be much appreciated.
