Anyone else likes 'WHEN EVIL LURKS' (2023)?

This horror movie from Argentina has been EVERYWHERE this past few months, a lot of YouTube reviewers are raving about it, it has 99% on Rotten Tomatoes (85+ reviews), people on Letterboxd are losing their sh*t over it, it's one of the very few indie low budget movies in SPANISH that actually got a release in the US. This is from the guy who made 'Terrified' (I thought that one was awesome) who also was everywhere went it came out. and Guillermo Del Toro met with the director for future projects.

I watched it last night, went in with the best hopes, as I love horror, and my native tongue is Spanish. But could not find what the big deal is. The concept and story are pretty cool and fresh, the special FX are insane, very very well made, and SOME of the acting is good for a horror. Other than that, cringe dialogue, non-sensical third act, exposition vomit all the time, mediocre cinematography, and random ass ending.

I think I'm just venting now, I swear it's hard to find a negative review of this thing on the internet, maybe it's just me.
