Does anyone have any tips to stop hyperfixating on a minor negative thing that actually has a much deeper/ more meaning attached to it?

Seeking Advice

TLDR: My gramma told me she would have restarted the project I am working on. I already did that a ridiculous amount of times. I don't even want to do it anymore. I cant stop thinking about her saying that and how shitty this project looks and how shitty I feel and how shitty I am going to feel giving the project to the recipient. Deeper baggage: How do I deal with people who are supposed to love and support me always being rude and criticising constantly?

I took up crocheting a while back. I did it on and off, but actually started following through and making things this year. I make random amigurumi.

It has helped me tremendously with my perfectionism issues. I decided to just finish a project instead of frogging (undoing it) and redoing it because it really didnt matter if it was bad. It was for me. Now im getting better and really enjoy crocheting. It takes me an eternity to complete things, though.

My sister asked me to maker her an amigurumi of a weord niche thing from a show she watches. I said i can try, but there is no pattern anymore and I jave never tried to do anything without a pattern.

My mother and gramma have been up my ass about doing it for her. I have said im doing my best and trying and everytime anyone sees it they are like "oh...THAT'S what your making for sister?" So I have taken it apart and redone it so many times.

I finally got one I liked amd am sp close to the end but I decided to only redo the center of the ears cause they were very wonky. Well, I forgot I did a color change instead of sewing over my stitches and made giant holes in the ears.

I decided screw it, Ill just sew it back with the color and who cares. It is what it is. I am not a professional and its the fact that I'm trying so hard that matters.

Wrong. I even told that to my gramma and they all lnow how stressed I've been with this and she still said "i would have redone it all" the rars are funky now, but I will never do it if i start over AGAIN.

I know my sister is going to have some negative thing to say too and I just cannot handle it.

How does anyone deal? I have told them so many times- nicely, meanly, bluntly- how I feel and "if she or anyone has anything to say when its done ill take it back".

Its not talking to them about it, it's how do I deal with people who are supposed to love and support me also being so fucking rude to me?

Disclaimer: I did therapy for a little bit, I cannot afford it at this time. I also do not have the leisure at this time to shop for a therapist that knows what to do with me because I am "so self aware!" 😒

This is also a side account I made for personal things because I am certain my sister knows my main.
