Full service virtual brokerage launching
I just interviewed for a salaried position at a brokerage that is launching full service listings on realtor.ca for $500. (I wasnt really interested in the position at first- the only reason I went to the interview is because my friend works there and she told me that I needed to see the tech) the tech is legit- they’ve built an app that automates the MLS listing process. Ability to toggle on how much cooperating commission and manage all of the home details, photos- videos, contracts, comparisons etc. Consumer is a bigger part of the listing process. Question: discount brokerages are a dime a dozen but there’s not one that has technology and that can offer full service virtually like this. This could really scale. I’m seriously now considering this position and it comes at a time when a salary would be nice- but I’d like to know what consumers think?. $500 is all the brokerage takes per listing. Signs and lockbox included (Client must supply professional photos or you can book your own photographers and 3d tour from inside the app for $295) This looks like a true tech play with a big marketing budget coming at a time when sellers can’t swallow higher fees. They aren’t trying to cut out the buyer agents and with virtual realtors managing everything from start to finish this could really be a winner. This will destroy FSBO sites and discount brokerages that just charge a fee to list on MLS. I’m still on the fence about becoming an employee after being on my own for a while now but these guys might be onto something big.
