iPod 2.5" Display

I'm trying to whip together a raspberry pi iPod but am having a real tough time finding a display able to fit in the iPod classic (5th/6th gen) shell. I know the screen is supposed to be 2.5" with 4:3 aspect ratio, but there is very little room for bezzles so that limits my options.

I thought about using an aftermarket iPod classic display, but it seems almost proprietary.
