how do you do priming?

I've watched a few videos which mention priming with the latest being Zain asif's guide on studying effectively which he made 3 weeks ago and after watching the video I thought it'd be easy to apply but now I've actually tried to start studying using the technique of writing key words to create a mental model and I'm just dumbfounded, could someone please give a practical example of how this would work?
