AITAH for always offering to iron my girlfriends clothes for her?

So my girlfriend Renee (27F) and I (27M) moved in together about 3 months ago. At the beginning of October, she started a new job at a law firm. This is her first serious and full time job because she just got her final degree this year.

Renee doesn’t like ironing her clothes. She doesn’t fold her clothes properly and they end up so wrinkly when she gets the out of her wardrobe, but she won’t iron them before going out. Now that we live together, I iron her clothes for her and fold or hang them neatly so they won’t be wrinkled when she has to wear them. But she tries on her entire wardrobe everyday and just throws the clothes back in without folding or hanging them so they get wrinkled up again.

Now that she’s working at this law firm, I don’t like seeing her go to work with wrinkly clothes. I don’t think it looks very professional and I don’t want people at her work place to have a negative view on her based on it. So I ask her what she’s planning to wear and quickly iron it in the morning before she leaves. She makes jokes that I’m like a new mum who cares too much about useless things. I don’t think it’s useless to look well put together though..

Anyway today I woke up slightly later than usual but still about 40 minutes before she had to leave. She had her dress on and was having her coffee when I came into the kitchen. The dress was so so wrinkly. It was a loose on her so it looked even more wrinkly. I asked her to take it off and I’ll quickly go iron it and she can put it back on.

She blew up at me saying I’m nitpicking at her outfits everyday and lowering her confidence and also making her feel like a child. I said I just want her to look professional because it’s only been a month of her being at this company and first impressions are important. She said no one will think badly of her just because of some wrinkles and I need to stop being so uptight about things that don’t matter.

I obviously won’t do anything anymore since she’s told me she hated it but I guess I’m just confused on if what I was doing was really wrong or not.
