A weird situation
So I’ve been bi since I was in 4th or 3rd grade, but I’ve never fully come out to my parents. I did once when I was in 5th grade, however I think they were either to drunk or just forgot because we were partying when they asked.
Now I come from a very stereotypical quiet kid house. Daddy beat mommy type shit (Except in this case my mom pushed him to do it so I side with my dad). So they’ve been divorced for about three years now. And since then my mom has done everything she can to one up my dad, weaponizing any little thing we do. My mom is very liberal and she takes us to pride parades all the time so coming out to her would be a no brainer, however I feel if I do she will use it against my dad and he will grow to hate me for being bi.
My dad on the other hand, is a bit conservative. I can’t really tell if he is, but he lives with my grandparents who DEFINITELY hate the lgbt+ community. My dad has shown me some gay jokes before and we had a good laugh about it, but he also said I shouldn’t drink bud light because I’m not gay (🥲).
So what should I do? I’ve been in the closet for years and I kinda want to come out but I just feel I can’t. It’s why I’m so open with my friends because I don’t have parents to be open too and I think it’s greatly affected the way I am.
