How do you keep your CR/SBM knowledge fresh for July resit if you fail in Nov for example?

I was thinking how annoying it is that Advanced Level sittings are only twice a year.

Considering that if you fail in Nov, you would have wait all the way to July. How would you even remember anything unless you practice throughout this period?
