Why does caffeine make me philosophical and creative?

How are these things related?

I'm not sure if this is a common shared experience, but whenever I take caffeine, I start thinking very heavily about the "big picture", and often come up with great creative ideas.

What's weirder, is that this affect is amplified greatly when I'm sleep deprived (something that has been very common since last year, it some point it was at least 2 times a week where I don't sleep for over 24 hours).

It makes me excited and motivated to do productive work, but as soon as I start that, I end up thinking about the task heavily and it's amplification on the bigger picture much more, which means in actuality I don't get any work done, just thoughts whizzing about in my head.

Sleep deprivation + caffeine + mood swings + shower is probably the strongest combination which makes me come up with creative ideas... Something I wish I could do without any of that.

Can someone explain what this might be related to or if this is an extremely common occurrence?

P.S. wasn't sure which post flair was appropriate, so let me know which one is the correct one if I put the wrong one.
