Pitman training Payroll course

Hey, has anyone here done the Pitman HR assistant or Payroll course in the past year or two? I've been doing it remotely from home past while, breezed through most of the modules, although their Payroll module, specifically the Manual Payroll section of it has my head done in.. it's not very well constructed, just seems a bit strung together with very few decent resources, if the information you are seeking is not included in the (vague) course handbook, there's really no other support available it seems, hard to find the info online either as a lot of it involves the use and filling out if 80's style employee pay records which have not been in use for quite sone time. Even after getting on to the course admin they only sent out excerpts from the afformentioned handbook, so really stuck between a rock and a hard place trying to get it finished. Been at it ages now and still not making any decent progress. At a point now where I'm thinking of asking them if it's possible to just move on from this module and complete the remainder of course and receive the certifications in the other areas, don't know if it is possible yet but that's where I'm at... an even bigger worry is will the qualification even be recognised by many companies?... sickened now considering the cost of it all and just want to see the back of it. Any input would be much appreciated, many thanks in advance.
