QuickText auto fills don't appear unless tinkered with after new thunderbird update

Hello, I use Quicktext to auto fill in my signature on email replies. Before the latest thunderbird update, I would type the content of my reply, press enter to go into a new space below the text, and select my Quicktext signature and it would fill in that space without any issue. After the thunderbird update this no longer works, and to add my Quicktext signature I must click the space before the reply's "On 10/31/2023 12:00 PM, Person wrote:" and then select my Quicktext to get it to appear. This results in me having extra space between my signature and my email content, which takes longer to get rid of, and this is becoming an issue because I send many email responses per day. Please let me know if anyone is experiencing this or has any suggestions.
