Interested in Seasonal Delivery driving job - what kind of CDL is needed?

I am not interested in driving an 18-wheeler—just the local delivery vans. I don't have a commercial driver's license, but I assume there's a difference between the one that allows the huge truck and the other that allows the delivery truck. My application noted it needed to be the one that covered up to 26,000 lbs. - that sounds suspiciously like an 18-wheeler. Anyone know?
