Are dating apps just used for finding friends now?

It seems like majority of people on them are just looking for friends. I get some people prefer to be friends before dating or they might not have a big lgbt community around them so they use the apps but it seems like very few are interested in going on dates or anything. Are people burnt out from dating or are they trying to let me down easier by saying they aren’t interested in dating? Don’t get me wrong, nothing is wrong with with friends but it’s gets a little annoying after awhile. Especially when their bio said they were looking to date. It has me kinda has me questioning if I’m dating material because majority of my matches are only interested in being friends.
