How am I actually supposed to help against bad things?

Came across an IG post from someone ranting about a specific social topic and stating, "But, you don't care. It's in affecting you, so you're not going to care." Seriously, what is it you want me to do?

There are all sorts of sides to take on a limitless number of bad things occurring in the world. What exactly am I supposed to do? I'm just trying to survive in my own life, I can't take up the flag for every single cause against every bad thing that happens in the world. It sucks that there are shit things happening to people, but aside from making sure that I'm being a good person, voting, recycling the plastics I use, etc., what exactly else am I supposed to do?
