my crystal pendant broke up

Hello everyone ✨ I have a crystal pendant that broke up and I have it for at least 4 years. It's an aventurine. The stone is fine but the thing that does the connection to put on the necklace is broken. And I've been thinking, should I try to fix it (going to the store that I bought it) or is it possible that the crystal is full of energy/tired (I don't know how to call it). I feel that I should try to fixe it but I'm afraid that my connection with the stone is not making me see things clearly, because I have used her everyday for the past 4 years. Have anything similar ever happened to you? What do you think about it?
