Passed WRE first try! Without a review course! Woohoo!

Let this be proof that you do NOT need to take EET, SOPE, or any other review course in order to pass! Of course, by all means, take a review course if you want to, but it's certainly not the only way to pass.

I know lots of people say that the NCEES practice exam is too easy compared to the real thing, but I completely disagree. Sure, the actual questions will be different on exam day, and you'll be more stressed because of the time constraints and testing environment, but overall, the types of questions and level of difficulty will be similar. I purchased several other practice exams from various sources online, and none of them were nearly as good as the official NCEES practice exam, especially for WRE depth. Maybe it's different for other disciplines though!

The BEST ADVICE I received was to take a whole week off for the exam. I thought it was ridiculous when someone first suggested that to me, but I'm so glad I did it. Taking that time off allowed me to focus on my health leading up to the exam, and I actually felt well-rested (for once in my life) on exam day. It was tempting to spend the day before the exam cramming, but I tried my best to just relax and shut off my brain instead (I went for an easy hike), and I truly think it helped me have the right mindset and best possible attitude going into the exam.

To all my fellow test takers who got good news from NCEES this morning, congratulations and cheers!!!
