As the title states, it has been a nightmare from the beginning til now. A complicated and confusing case for everyone involved in this. English is not my first language, thanks for your patience and understanding

For context, I contacted a solicitor and applied for EUSS family permit for both my parents, my sister and my grandmother in beginning of 2021. Things got worse in the world later that year, Afghanistan and Ukraine.

In November 2022 we got an email from home office saying that apparently the visas were issued in 2021 but they were not able to contact us.
Also my sister is not eligible for that visa as in “grace period” extended family members were not included in family permit. Please see the attached pics for more context.

Long story short my family came to UK in 2023 after endless waiting for home office. Unfortunately my only sister was left behind in a third country because of situation in Afghanistan.

We applied for pre-settled status in June, my grandmother got her pre-settled status issued without any problems August.

For my parents they kept asking for more evidence. Ex. Utilities and tenancy agreement.
At that time, we were living with one of my relatives. I struggled to find a place because of housing crisis but managed to get a place for us later and move there. I sent all the new documents.

Late September my mother got refused, please check the 2nd pic for more details. The reason was that they couldn’t see I was giving them money or supporting them. This was confusing for everyone that HomeOffice refused my mother but not my grandmother.

My solicitor contacted EUSS team and was told that they can’t do anything and we had to wait another week for my father.

We waited another two weeks and we didn’t received anything from H.O and my solicitor emailed me that the will contact them next week.
I decided to call them my self as the situation was getting me and my family too much stressed which affected their well being.

I found out that my father had been refused in JULY? But somehow they reopened the case and asked for more evidence but at same time it looked refused. The agent didn’t know either why it looked like that and was obviously confused.

I contacted my solicitor and they told me they will contact me back after they are done investigating what happened. Later they told me that it was true and they don’t know why their staff didn’t let me know about it. My father was refused for the same reason they refused my mother, but apparently H.O opened the case again.

As of right now, no one knows if he is refused or the case is still alive, MP is involved and we are waiting for a decision now.

In conclusion, all of this has been affecting me and my family in a very bad way. My family is splattered and my relationship with my parents is getting worse. The living condition is getting worse too.

I feel that my solicitor lied about the fact that my sister was eligible for EUSS and that was the only reason we accepted this. Also the fact that I found out that my father was refused by my self. The solicitor told me we could apply for family reunion for my sister and that one hope is fading too as it has been 9 months since we applied for it. We paid lots of money only for them just send two covering letters and a few emails.

I genuinely don’t know what to do.
