Uncharted 4 New Game File_won't let me reset my treasures to 0

Trying to go through U4 again for the first time since 2019. I do NOT want all my treasures to carry over to a new save file/new game, but when I select NO for this option, all of my treasures DO carry over!!?? The stats reset but the treasures do not. What's going on here? Thanks, all. Looking forward to a much-needed few days on the couch and a Drake's run through. This is my "you deserve it" after a rough October at work/life, ha.
