i5-13600K with B760 or Z-series chipset mobo? Or what about i5-13500 with B760?
Hello I am looking to make a fairly major upgrade (basically a new pc) to my build from 2018. The main things I'm looking for are DDR5 RAM support, good IO for the mobo, and a better cpu and gpu. I mostly play games with my system, however my pc is on its last legs so I can't play newer releases that I would like to play. I also use softwares like Adobe products for some of my hobbies.
Right now, I'm looking to get either an i5-13600K or an i5-13500. I was thinking that I could pair the 13600K with a B760, but I've seen some posts about how it's a bad combo. Could anyone explain why? Would the 13500 with the B760 be a combo that makes more sense? What about the 13600K with a Z-series chipset like the Z790?
I'm trying to stay within $1500. My current idea for a new build is around $1280
Current build:
Motherboard: B450 chipset
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x
RAM: DDR4 3200mHz
GPU: GTX 1070
New build I'm thinking about:
Motherboard: B760 or Z-series
CPU: i5-13600K or i5-13500
RAM: DDR5 5500mHz
GPU: RTX 3060ti (if there is a better option than this please let me know too)
