Anyone noticing a rise in 'purists' on the Internet lately?

And I'm not talking about constructive criticism. I mean 6-7 paragraph MLA format essays full of snide comments and attempts to break everything you say down.

Obviously I'm posting about my experience and what worked for me. Just because it didn't follow the rule book, or is different from what worked for you, doesn't mean it won't work for anyone.

My favorite are the ones who say "This isn't [insert topic]," with no explanation lol. And the ones who demand that you change or delete the post altogether.

Stop with this corny shit. Especially when it's based on personal experience. This is not a competition.
