Tips on texting
I'm a heterosexual 28 year old male, good looking, practised sports my whole life, and have a successful career as a software developer (working on big data/machine learning). I've been unlucky in my romantic relationships and still single. I think this is because I rarely go on dates and one of the causes is that I have a lot of problems with mainting text conversations. The last times I went on dates I felt like I did pretty well (I received texts thanking for the good time and all that), but I never got to the second date. The last time I tried to arrange a second date I got a positive answer but never a confirmation for a time and place. I struggle with conversations when they're not face-to-face, I get bored almost instantly as I'm not able to infer intentions from non-verbal communication. I know this doesn't sound like a big issue but given the way we're socializing currently I feel like I'm losing a great deal of opportunities. Do you have any tips on when/what and how long to text so that I am more friendly in the virtual realm?
