What is the safest way to pull all your money out of Treasury Direct?

My Mother’s treasury, direct account was locked for suspicious activity. Last month we sent in the form FS 5444. She has over $300,000 locked in the account. She has cancer and needs access to those funds, so we called today and they said they would try to expedite the form and get the account unlocked faster.

I would like to get opinions from you guys on the best or safest way to pull all of that money out once it is unlocked, that wouldn’t likely trigger more suspicious activity.

They said all of the money is currently in her “C of I”, which I had already assumed.

Do you think it would be better to use the Redeem From C of I option for the full amount? Or would it be safer to buy a four week treasury bill for the full amount funded from C of I and set the destination to her primary bank?

The account was originally locked the day after we transferred made three ACH transfers from her bank to C of I since the limit is $1000 at a time. I have read many posts where people got their account locked when transferring TO C of I, which seems ridiculous.

I appreciate any opinions that you guys have.
