My grandma almost died to her pit
A 12 year old pit. She was a vet tech so trust that she raised that dog with love, care, and everything a dog could want. She had her since 10 weeks old so it wasnt traumatized or abused. She was laying in bed when the dog suddenly snapped and bit her THROAT. The amount of luck she had to not be killed then and there is INSANE. Her partner had to drag the dog off of her. Nothing was out of ordinary with her routine, she just decided to try to kill my grandma. She put the dog down the day after.
These dogs are not right. I can't even argue it's an intact male dog thing either; they're all built to kill. My senior doberman mix has only bit once, and it was when he was hit by a car and had to be moved into a van. He only left a tiny puncture on my dad's hand. A DOG IN AGONIZING PAIN didn't try to kill but a sweet pibble will bite for breathing wrong. And when other dogs bite, they don't bite to KILL. I work in a dog groomer setting and have never once feared for my life dealing with anything not pitbull. I've had a flat coated retriever give me a warning growl when I touched a paw. But the pitbulls, they just go right in to fucking kill you. No warning, no light nip, just straight up mauler mode. My grandma saw it first hand, it does not matter what you do with them. Love and affection does night dissolve their genetics.
Rottweilers, the second most fatal dog breed, are 60 fucking percent behind pitbulls. That's the only other breed that comes anywhere close to these monsters. You can't deny facts and reason. My grandma could've died because assholes want brownie points for rescuing their genetic freaks, and push the fucking nanny dog narrative and all other bullshit. Stay away from these dogs, it's not if, it's when they'll turn on you.
