Epson inkjet L382 refuse to print

I've got Epson MFP inkjet printer L382 which suddenly refused to print any page. On power on both led are blinking. Printer has no display so no other error indications are shown. Looking at internet I related this to some waste link reservoir being full. I opened printer and found the one at the bottom. It does not have sponge, but some layers of paper tissue (so washing and drying it is not an option). There is no sensor which took reading of tank fullness - so it must be algorithm. Is there a way for me to reset it on my own, as printer is out of warranty and I could not find reputable service shop which will deal with this?

Also, what new laser printer you would recommend which will not have this kind of measures built in and the one which is supported in linux? If nothing new is available I will go for used HP M1536DNF as for it I can order parts from aliexpress...
