Camera issues with my Mac

Hi all - I'm having an issue with the built in camera; no software seems to think I have a camera. This includes Apple software such as Photobooth.

I've made sure all software updates are completed, shut down, cleared cache etc. All the basic stuff.

Any idea on other things I could try? I don't think its hardware, I haven't really moved my laptop around much in months.
