My landlord is selling my house and demanding I leave (FL) What are my rights?

Real Estate law

Hello,

I am not sure if this is the right place to post but I really need some assistance here.... Any responses would be greatly apprciated! I just recently signed a renewal lease with my landlord for 18-months. The renewal took effect on 10/04/2023 and I have already made 2 rent payments towards the new lease.

On 10/31/2023, I get a call from my landlord and I am being told that they are selling my home. They mentioned that I need to leave my house by New Year's Eve at the latest and that the new buyer does not want any tennants present when they obtain the home. I asked the landlord: "Where in the lease does it allow you to do this?" and she gave a specific section of the lease to reference (I will post this at the end). She also said that they are not giving any relocation compensation. However, they would allow me to transfer to a different home but I would have to pay moving costs along with the difference of the new home's rental price.

I reside out in Florida in the bay area. I just want to know if there is anything I can do to either stay in the home for the remainder of my lease or push for a "Cash for keys" situation. I have moved non-stop for the last 5 years and I was really excited to be settling down for 18-months until they pulled this on me. Please help!!

notice thereof, either before or after such sale or assignment. Without limiting

Section 15.8, all covenants, promises and agreements in this Lease by or on behalf of

Resident shall be binding on Resident and their respective successors, assigns, heirs,

estates and executors and shall inure to the benefit of the successors and assigns of

the Landlord.
