Would you buss the Bass with the drums or rhythm section?

Say you have limited mix groups (not DCAs) on your console for whatever reason. Would you group the bass with the drums, or with the keys+guitars?

Why not give the bass its own mix group? Well again, limited mix groups. And I feel it'd be a bit wasteful to give the bass its own mix group.

I know this ultimately boils down to preference; I just want to hear what everyone else thinks/does. For me, I've been doing drums+bass. I feel like the buss compression helps keep the low end in check for kick+bass.
