Guy at work gives me Bad Vibes

There is a guy at my work that started about 4 months ago. He works in another department so I don't interact with him much, but every time I do, I feel on edge.

When I first introduced myself to him, he was lowkey kinda condescending about our location. We have other locations, but ours is the smallest. He stated that he was just waiting for a new position to open. I state yeah the size is small, but that allows us to helped customers more. He scoffed at that.

I don't get vibes that he is a creep, but I get the vibe that he is dangerous. For instance, one day he walked in my office demanding to know who was giving the tours. I stated the department that did the tours and who I see normally giving tour AND also stated that I DID NOT SEE who was actively giving tours so I can't say for sure. He complained about how the person giving the tour worded the size and what their office does and left.

I shrugged and a couple of minutes later I am in the hallway on the way to the restroom and he runs past me saying he saw the tour and was going to "have a chat" with her and asks me to watch his office. I stand there shocked and go to the restroom. On the way back I stop by security and let them know that the he stepped out can they watch his office because guess what? I HAVE MY OWN OFFICE!

He is on his way back to his office and says. "Omg is everything ok?!" with an annoyed tint. I say yeah, and btw he should let security watch his office if he is going to be out.

Yesterday I had another run in with him. A customer came in and stated the library sent them to us to help with a problem. I look up their records and state that no, they needed to contact another department. I would reach out. I guess the customer went back and complained about it because as I was on the phone with the appropriate department my front office person let him back into my office (I know, I had a talk with them about that).

As I was trying to figure out what the coworker saw on her end, he paced around my arms throwing his hands up. After I hung up he said, "Is that your friend, she has no idea what she is talking about." I was shocked. I told him I would figure it out and get back to him.

I finally figured out the issue and had the appropriate department fix the issue and updated him. He apologized for being rude, but his 0 to 100 attitude really bothers me.

I avoid interacting with him as little as possible and that just added to it.
