problem of “since”
1."It has been 5 years since I have had a customer."(Do I have a customer now?)
2."He has been getting bad headaches since he has been in the army."(Is he still in the army now?)
It seems that sentence 1 means "I have no customer now".But sentence 2 means"he must still be in the army now"
I wonder what makes this difference?
