Why does it seem like editors have forgotten what it was like to be a reporter?
From scheduling training web calls at lunchtime, to endlessly peppering reporters with requests via Slack - even when you know we're working on time-sensitive assignments - it seems there's a growing sense of disrespect for reporters and their time. I blame this on the pandemic and the decay of social skills, but it is frustrating when you're just a grunt responsible for generating an endless stream of copy to monetize web traffic.
