Tom is Mattson’s fall-guy for election troubles

That’s the gist of my epiphany on a recent rewatch but there is a lot of noise made in the final episodes about making sure Mattson and Menken know that Tom was the one to make the election call. Given how it is shared that there is trouble in the courts for the Menken team and based on our real world experience of seeing Fox get hit hard for their role in spreading election lies, I would say there is a good chance ATN will need a head on the chopping block, something that Mattson probably understands as an outside observer. It would bring Tom’s arc full circle really to finally living up to his promise to Logan to be the fall guy for the company sins. That would also allow Mattson to circumvent the whole “American CEO” thing. I’m telling ya, Tom is a felon in waiting.
