Am I (29F) wrong for not wanting to financially support an unambitious man (30M)?

I am a college educated and career driven woman. My ex fiancé had no career ambition and was happy making $12/hr. I make 4 times what he makes. I ended the engagement because I knew that if I were to marry him, I would have to financially support him since he’s broke. The last thing I want to be is financially tied to him. I want to share my money with an ambitious man. I don’t want to share my money with somebody who doesn’t want to carry their weight. I’m greedy like that.

TLDR; I would love to marry him if I didn’t have to financially support him. The stupid marriage law says he’s entitled to my assets if he’s my husband. I’m ok with dating dudes with no career ambition. I just don’t want to marry one because marrying them means having to support them 🙅‍♀️
