Funny request: Young software engineers looking to work with a really cool, innovation-minded dentist?
My friend and I are software engineers who both had terrible experience with dental insurance not paying out when it should have. Personally I lost over $400 on a crown that was deemed "not necessary". This is just one of the tactics they'll try.
I'm less mad now and more want to fight back. We were wondering if anyone knows a dental practice would be interested in letting us build a tool for them that automates "fighting" with these insurance companies. We want a really cool, innovation minded dentist that could be a "product partner".
Basically we would work hand in hand with the office to build custom software. This would ideally help the office save time dealing with insurance (which is like half of what the front desk does). It would help us get a first toehold as a business and maybe achieve our entrepreneurial dreams.
Most importantly it could eventually hold dental insurance companies accountable.
