Lorebard/warlock multiclass: 10/2 vs 8/4

I want skill monkey with ranged magic dmg, im not big fan of support or control builds. Best option it seems is to multiclass bard with warlock and I have two options:

Going Lorebard 10/ warlock 2, I will pretty much get lorebard with EB and since EB is bets cantrip in the game and it scales with level and not warlock level its pretty good deal. Together with magical secrets of lorebard and his own spells I can get some nice dps out, but there is second option.

Lorebard 8/ warlock 4, with this setup I can get pact bonus, propably pact of tome, and I can get another feat, which I could use to get proficiency in another 3 skills, making my skill monkey into skill gorrilla almost.

I just never played bard so Im not sure how much I would give up in those levels 9 and 10 for warlock levels 3 and 4.
