Oil cartridge life span and proper storage?

Hello everyone. How long are distillate or live resin 1g cartridges usually good for?

I use mine very seldomly and one cartridge usually lasts me several months. Is this an expiration date or anything on these things?

Also how should I store it when not in use, or it doesn't matter?

Thanks!
