Option strategy
Most of the traders are intrigued by options at some point of their trading journey. Majority of them end up losing money because they were not familiar with the greeks. I'm gonna share how i started trading options and the spread i used most. I hope this could help novice option traders
Call debit spread- Buy a slight in the money call and sell at the money call. In most of the cases you would be theta positive, so incase the stock goes sideway you can still hold you position till the time your thesis for taking the trade are still valid. You can can exist the spread at 5-10% roi. Drawback is your profits are capped, so if the stock went parabolic you won't be able to capture that.
This spread can be used for day trading or for short term swings. While selecting the stock make sure the D1 chart is bullish.
Put debit spread- This works the same way just replace the calls with puts. The D1 chart should be bearish.
