Trying to understand if I can handle polyamory

From what I have read here, while it is a fabulous life experience, polyamory is not for everyone. I am trying to understand if I am one of those who can handle it but I want to ask around instead of doing trial ans error.

I've been with my wife for the past 15 years, and before her, I had only one previous relationship. So, I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to romantic relationships.

Fast forward, I received permission from my wife to find someone on Tinder for a fun night out, with the understanding that sex was not allowed.

So, I matched with a woman on Tinder, and before meeting her, I made it clear what my position and limitations were. We had a great time dancing and flirting, but I didn't make a move to kiss her because I wasn't in the mood for it. That was the extent of our encounter, and I shared all the details with my wife. She experienced a bit of jealousy, but it dissipated after a few minutes.

Fast forward again, my wife granted me another pass to go out, this time to a bar. I met a woman there, and within five minutes, we were kissing. The chemistry was very strong this time. I told her my position and limitations, which meant no sex, and we spent the night kissing and talking on the streets. She was somewhat frustrated that I didn't want to have sex with her, but at the same time, she described it as her best date ever. She gave me her number when we left.

Back to my wife, I shared the entire story with her, and we had great sex. I also asked her if she would allow me to meet the other woman again for sex, and she agreed.

So, we met for a second time, went for dinner, and then to my hotel, where we had sex. She slept in my room, and we had breakfast the next day before saying our goodbyes. I had fun, but I was extremely exhausted mentally and physically during the entire time I was with her. I guess being an introvert, I found it exhausting to spend an extended period with someone I didn't know well.

I didn't think about the other woman for a few days, but after then, I began having intense thoughts about her and a strong desire to meet her again. She reached out to me and expressed her interest in meeting once more.

However, I know my wife would not permit me to meet her again. The last time she allowed it was to fulfill a sexual fantasy, but I think I became emotionally attached to that woman. As I mentioned, I don't have much experience with new relationships, so I wasn't cautious about maintaining some (emotional) distance. I find myself thinking about her every single day and feeling depressed because I can't see her again. And I feel anxious too because of a dilemma.

The dilemma is whether I should try to ask my wife to meet that woman again, or I should just try to forget her because meeting her a third time could make me miss her even more. What do you think is the better course of action in these situations?
