Chorus effect on hooks of Aesop Rock's music?

How is this chorus effect achieved in the hooks of Aesop Rock's music? I have tried numerous plugins including doublers, chorus effects, and delays. Really like this effect and the texture it adds to the songs and can't figure out how it is done or how to replicate it. Thanks!
