Lectric XP 3.0 Is Not Safe

I have a good couple of problems with my girlfriend's new lectric xp 3.0. Namely, The geometry and controller functionality lead me to consider the bike not safe for the general population. I come from acoustic road and mountain bikes, and one kit build with a decent quality torque sensor, for reference.

Basically, my main problem is the lack of power modulation. You turn the cranks, the bike moves, then all of a sudden the motor kicks in with 100% of the power programmed for the assist level with NO ramp-up. 1 is a tickle, sure, 2 is a decent assist, but can't get my gf up most of the small hills around us. 3 is where it starts to get dangerous. The assist feels like it comes on almost randomly, after between 0.5 - 1 seconds, which may not sound like a lot, but coming from acoustic bikes which "activate" instantly, it feels like getting pushed from behind without asking. going over even the slightest of complicated sections of road is a recipe for falling off. Also, the throttle has a significant delay, significant enough at least to not be able to cover any of these responsiveness downsides.

My next complaint is the geometry. The head tube angle is very steep, leading to a twitchy handling. It has front suspension, which, when compressed, makes the head tube angle even steeper. The handlebars have a very high minimum height, which limits the weight one can put over the the front of the bike to improve handling. They are also very close to the seatpost line (reach) which makes it feel very cramped despite being a standard length bike. The tires are fat, which obviously we knew when buying the bike, but it's still part of the recipe. They make the handling even worse. It's also just so very heavy, much heavier than I assumed looking at the pictures.

I feel like this bike is just an absolute masterclass of how to make a bike feel like ass. The only times I feel good riding it are standing up and leaning on the throttle, which counteracts some of the complaints of the geometry and ignores the problem of the bad pedal assist. I would be perfectly OK with this bike if it just had better power modulation though. If anybody else has this bike and did something to the settings or modded it in any way, I would love to hear about it. I would love to know how you ride your lectric too, cause I assume it's perfectly fine on longer wider stretches of road if you never have to dodge a car. But, right out of the box, I could not in good faith recommend this bike to anybody besides someone willing to void the warranty.

I do also want to mention that we don't regret the purchase. It's still a useful mode of transport, and it it a cargo hauling BEAST. The fact that it folds up is the main selling point, as sometimes my gf would rather just call for a ride and it can fit in almost any car with some serious finagling (remember, it's REALLY heavy, like around 60 lbs). But it's a serious downgrade from my 1.5 kit builds that are both also heavily budget oriented. I have a TSDZ2B on an entry level modern mountain bike, and the torque assist although not super responsive is the best power modulation in the game. My Polaris ebike I had to gut and replace most electric components just uses a Kunteng 22 amp controller and I managed to reuse the pedal assist sensor which is super high resolution. Feels great to just pedal. Anyway, thanks for lending me your eyes, and I'd appreciate any help and feedback!
