Accurpress controller buttons not clicking, any ideas?

Accurpress 7606 with ETS 100. The ETS 100 has a touch sensitive pad for buttons. One of the ram level buttons stopped clicking so I unpeeled the pad to investigate... not the right choice cause now neither button works. Is there any way I can get this button touch pad thing to work again?
