CA living , how are y’all living here?

I make around 8000 a month but I always feel like this state has a way of making me broke. Every time I move back here I usually fly away very quickly soon after.

I stay in short term rentals and my rent for s studio in Sherman oaks is 4200.

I have two cats which cost around 300 a month to take care of.

My car insurance just doubled to 300 a month due to inflation (no accidents or tickets)

I spend around 750 on groceries (vegan). I also enjoy going out to eat with friends since I’m young. This is around 1000 a month. I tend to order appetizers or just a drink like a boba tea since entrees are so much $$.

I also shop for clothes here and there for around 500.

After spending 7$ in gas for my car I feel like I can only save 600 a month if I’m actually living my life.

How are you all living here and having a good life?
