Is Furman actually good?

I like many people suffer from Valley Bias, but I am at least familiar with Furman as they are the instate FCS win for Clemson and South Carolina. Outside of that I have no idea if they are actually good or if their conference is weak. Can someone from the conference (or Furman) give me a rundown?
