Water filtration

Hi everyone seeking some advice/ guidance

Just purchased a home recently. Noticed the water is hard and has a very strong metal smell and is dying the white tile in the shower orange. This includes the sinks in the bathrooms and in kitchen as well. And toilets in both bathrooms. And is starting to dye my clothing an orange tint. I can’t afford a home water filtration system right now but was wanting to know if these was an alternate way to get me by for now til I can afford one. Thank you. I also replaced the water heater Monday hoping it would help but it didn’t.
