Will a mixer be able to fix my “muddy” mix?
I’m an artist/producer, my mix sounds good in my audio technica headphones. Obviously in my untreated room/Yamaha hs5’s or in my car it sounds slightly different/worse/muddier. Is this something my mixer will be able to resolve with proper eq, compression, master chain etc? Is it a smart move to avoid tinkering with frequencies to get a cleaner mix If I don’t know exactly what I’m doing, and leave it to the professionals? What’s the best way to get what’s in my headphones to the world without screwing things up in the process?
I used to use sound ID but got tired of it and just wanted to use my headphones as is. Opinions on that as well?
Thanks in advance!
