I'm thinking about living in a car and starting over in a new town

My kids live 300 miles away. I'm thinking about packing all my stuff into my car (including my cat) and moving to their town (large city) and just living the car life for a couple weeks to maybe a couple months until i have enough to get a place. I need to be closer to them and the company i work for is closing and i really just feel lost and alone where i am as it is. I feel like this could be the eat pray love experience i need to figure life out and be in my children's lives. I recognize it will be uncomfortable but with planning and a good system it could be a good experience. Am I as crazy as my mother thinks I am?
