Good Start to NaNoWriMo!

Celebrate

This year, I settled that I'd just go ahead and do it regardless of the turnout. Of course, this is the month I'm doing some heavy traveling with a body that loathes me as much as the antis despise "impurity." Still, feels nice to end day one with a good sprint of 3,487 words. (Might add on more before the clock strikes midnight, but I'm exhausted honestly.) I'm sure productivity won't live forever, but that's alright. My pet project that has existed two years getting some love by an excited brain is enough for me.

It's a trip to go back and read my older writing, especially after my evolutions during the years. There are some good lines in there too. Specifically found: “To you, God whisked me away, but I know otherwise. [...] I am no Icarus because the Sun wants me to succeed.” Solid line, past self. No idea what the hell was happening in said context though.

How is everyone else doing with NaNoWriMo? Or, if you're not taking part, just how's it going in general?
